Business leaders invited to graduation-rules meetings

A panel charged with developing guidelines for statewide graduation requirements has invited business leaders to two public meetings in Denver to discuss its recommendations.

The meetings by the state’s Graduation Guidelines Development Council will be held:

  • Tuesday, April 15, at 7-9:15 a.m. at Junior Achievement, 1445 Market St.
  • Monday, April 21, at 5-6:30 p.m. at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd.

The graduation council is required under a 2007 law to "develop and recommend to the state board [of education] for adoption a comprehensive set of guidelines for the establishment of high school graduation requirements" by May 1 same day payday loans.

In additon to members of the graduation council, Colorado Education Commissioner Dwight Jones and state Board of Education member Elaine Gantz Berman will host the meetings.
